The evening will include a programme of words and music to recognise the Squadron's greatest composer Hubert Parry and his friends, and their reliance on and relationship with the sea. An optional dinner will be served in the Royal Yacht Squadron after the concert. Our portrait will explore Parry's life, public and private, in an attempt to see how the Isle of Wight and its pleasures gave solace to this brilliant but troubled genius.
Tickets for the performance will cost £10 per person and the supper at the RYS afterwards will be £20 plus the cost of drinks consumed.
